So went the advertisement for I can’t remember what. This line came to me this week when I was mulling over what eating raw food might look like for someone new to the idea and curious.
Maybe the idea of eating nothing but raw food for a week is just too much for some of you. For others it’s do-able. If you’re curious but put off by the thought that you have to do the Seven Days or nothing – listen up! You don’t have to eat raw for Seven Days if you – don’t – want – to! I will never ‘should’ you. It’s my job to support you in your quest to improve your health, lose some weight or tackle a health issue.
I would love to work with you to help you begin the road towards meeting your goals. And if you have to deviate off the road for a while and take a little raw food rest, then I will wait until you are ready again. Little bit by little bit you will feel more comfortable about trying a new raw recipe. You will constantly surprise and be proud of yourself for keeping on till one day you will look over your shoulder and say, “Wow, look at how far I’ve come!” And that doesn’t mean that you are now 100% raw, it means that you have reached a comfortable raw/cooked ratio for you at that point.
You may or may not increase your ratio – it really doesn’t matter. What does matter is that you will be doing the best you can with what you’ve got, and I am here to cheer you on!
Here are some ideas that might feel ‘right’ for you using the Seven Day Program.
• Raw Mondays. For one day a week, raw everything – well raw most things. You might feel so great you could increase the number of days, you never know.
• Raw Lunch every day.
• Raw Dinner (evening meal) every day
• Raw Breakfast and Dinner every day
• Raw every second day
I think you get the picture by now.
