I have pellets that I give intermittently and have been feeling bad because I haven't given it to them every day. I will now feel much better about the raw food we give them, mainly carrots apples and weeds! Also Christine I feed my dog raw. She gets raw meat and bones. I have even found a shop behind Wairau Pac'n Save that sells all sorts of raw dog and cat meat. See http://www.rawessentials.co.nz/ I buy tripe, hare, rabbit, wallaby, possum, chicken, salmon etc etc my dog has been so well since I took her off the processed dog food. She used to get 'hot spots' and her breeder even had her on steroids as a puppy! The key thing with feeding raw is to give a balance of meat and some bone. Also the meat should be from different parts of the animal (organ meat and other) and from a range of animals! Anyway there is my rant about animals :)Sally Tnoreply@blogger.com
